1. What are the Hospital Hours?
Our hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm. On Saturdays we are open from 8:00am until 1:00pm. The clinic is closed on Sunday.

2. Do I need to have an appointment?
Yes, patients are seen by appointment. You can schedule to drop off your pet in the am & pick up in the pm if needed M-F.

3. What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, Check, Debit, Mastercard, Visa, Discover, American Express & Care Credit

4. Can I make payments?
Payment is required at the time of service.

5. At what age should I have my pet spayed or neutered?
Spaying or neutering can be done at approximately 6 months of age. Your pet is examined prior to surgery to ensure that he/she is healthy enough to undergo the surgical procedure. Current vaccinations are required at the time of surgery. In addition, a pre-anesthetic blood screen is recommended prior to undergoing anesthesia and surgery.

6. What is the pre-anesthetic blood screening?
A pre-anesthetic blood screen is comprised of blood tests that are performed in the clinic prior to surgery. It tests the organ functions, blood counts, and electrolyte levels of your pet. The pre-anesthetic blood screen is done to assure safety during surgery and the ability to heal following surgery. It is recommended for all patients, but mandatory for those aged 5+.

7. How long do the stitches stay in after my pet's surgery?
In most cases, sutures must be removed 10-12 days following the surgery.

8. Is it a good idea to let my pet have at least one litter?
No, there is no advantage to letting your pet have one litter. However there are plenty of advantages to having you pet spayed or neutered. These advantages include decreasing the chances of breast tumors later in life, decreasing the chance of cystic ovaries and uterine infections later in life, decreasing the desire to roam the neighborhood, decreasing the incidence of prostate cancer later in life, helping prevent spraying and marking, and also decreases the surplus of unwanted puppies and kittens.

9. Do you board pets?
Yes, we do boarding for our clients. If you are not a current client (seen within the last year) you will be rquired to see the vet, at a discounted exam fee, to determine the health of the pet before leaving them. We have boarding space for both dogs and cats. We also can board birds and other small animals, but you will be required to bring your own cage and food for your pet.

10. What are your kennels like?
Clean and Fun! Our dog cages & runs are all indoor. The dogs are taken out 3 times daily while staying with us. The cat boarders are housed in a separate room from the dogs. They have a large picture window to view the outdoor (sun, squirrels, & birds). Blankets, toys and food are provided for your pets, but you are always welcome to bring your own.

11. Do you board during a hurricane?
Yes we do, but we are NOT a hurricane shelter & therefore will not be held responsible if our building has storm problems or the staff is required to leave the area. We have a first come first serve system for storm boarding & you will be responsible for bringing your own food & carrier or leash for movement if necessary. Please call us for more detailed information & required signature form.
